Thanks for commenting – I do agree that he is a disgrace to all religion, and I thing religion is disgraceful in and of itself, so to disgrace something disgraceful takes true talent.

Dude… “atheists want to turn America into a communist country”? I keep seeing this insult coming from Americans, and I honestly don’t see how it could even come across as insulting. Guys, the war with the Commies is over. Move on.

Otherwise… this guy is obviously not even worth the air he breathes. It’s people like him who give religious folk a bad name… blindly and aggressively swallowing lies and throwing them back up all over everyone else. Guh. I know some nice believers who can mix well with other believers and atheists, but some people, regardless of the religion they belong to, just irritate the sh*t out of me.

Religion truly is a Machavellian thing – what was that one quote, something like “Religion to the common man is a great comfort, Religion to the ruler is a great tool” or something.

Again, Anton LaVey did a great job talking about how religion is used to sucker people out of money and get power easily.

Ya know, I just might found my own religion to get rich without college. lol

Actually, I think I’ve seen that cartoon before! It reminds me of how in church I always used to see these Christian mothers who would just straight up smack the shit out of their kids yelling “Shut up and love Jesus!”

AngryXtian is so full of Christian love. So ironically full of hate as a follower of a allegedly non violent religion. Christianity like those ‘other guys’ in the Middle east just use religion for power, not salvation or ‘peace and love’ or saving lives or ‘niceness.’ No matter what good intentions a faith may have as its foundation, it is the haters and the traitors who will distort it for power and glory.

“Love Jesus or I will kill you!!”…doesnt really work for me.

The cartoon I have always liked is a man beating a woman with a wooden cross in front of a planned parenthood clinic.
’support right to life or I will kill you.’

Well, there is a difference between Jesus’ words being intelligent and being true.

Also, I do agree that Jehovah is one helluva bastard. I actually did a series of post on it entitled “God is an asshole.” You can locate them by searching for “god” and “asshole” in my blog’s search box, immediately under the header on the right side.

The old testament Jehovah is a real bastard. He
smites the shit out of everyone over the tiniest thing. I could never reconcile him with the Jesus of the New Testament.

Friends who studied Buddhism said that even if Christ was not divine or God, or even real, for that matter, his attributed quotes in the bible show a significantly enlightened human being whose message of tolerance and forgiveness makes him one of history’s great teachers.
